Full Moons & Fireflies

This is a poem I wrote to my best male friend and soulmate who will be effortlessly guided to me in divine timing. I even hear it being played on an instrument.

let's get back to the basic plan

the union of souls in a promise land

let's go on a date and see how it goes

that's what I call dipping our toes

just show up in your usual way

a little bit of nerves is ok

can i call you, can I see you again

do you feel the connection of a long lost friend

full moons and fireflies

lovers whose souls harmonize

growing closer with each new day

healing emotions along the way

open mind and open heart

true love is a work of art

I'll hold you hand and warm your heart

I'll be there if you fall apart

I will show you the depth of love

And we'll bask in nature just because

we'll sit in the fire and stand alone

and cross the river to the sweet unknown

when we go to bed and cuddle I'll say

Hey babe, what was the best part of your day?

we'll kiss and venture into the deep

infuse our bodies and fall asleep

I'll wake up to a brand new day

grateful I learned to love this way
